Please make note of the following terms and conditions and read them carefully. These user terms are a legal document and on your booking with Alex, you agree to be bound by these user terms.
The person signing the contract and scheduling the appointments is responsible for all payments for the bridal party.
Upon booking with Alex, a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee of services quoted is required to secure your wedding date. Alex does not accept any other clients for the day of your wedding so once this deposit is paid, the day is entirely yours. (see Covid policy below)
If any services are wanting to be removed before this date, the 50% deposit of that service is non-refundable. You are welcome to add services on at any time, pending that Alex is able to accomodate the change.
The remaining 50% of your payment is due 1 month prior to your wedding day. Once this is paid, services may not be removed or refunded.
Two weeks prior to the wedding date the client will receive instruction on how everyone's skin and hair should be prepared for the day. Hair must be completely dry upon arrival, unless arranged otherwise. The client understands that if these instructions are not adhered to, then the schedule of the day may run overtime.
Alex will travel free of charge within 30 minutes of her home in Rose Bay. After half an hour there is a $75 per/hour travel fee (inclusive of the first half an hour) Any additional artists employed by Alex on the day incur a $50 p/hr travel free.
Parking costs must be covered by the client where free parking onsite cannot be found. Valet parking must be paid for at hotels.
Bookings of more than 6 services (example, 3 hair, 3 makeup - or 2 hair, 4 makeup) will require an assistant and will incur an additional fee of $200.00 + travel if applicable.
There will be an early start fee of $150.00 per artist if the schedule of the day and services booked requires Alex or any additional artists to start before 6am or if the wedding location means we need to start travelling before 5.30am.
All clients must adhere to the schedule provided by Alex on the day and be available for their allocated appointments.
Alex does not offer refunds for any completed services. Therefore if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to discuss with Alex while she is on location. All discussions regarding refunds/discounts/transfers will be entered into on a case-by-case basis.
CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS DUE TO COVID-19
If you need to reschedule or cancel your wedding day due to government restrictions, no refunds can be offered, however your booking fee can be transferred once, free of charge to your new date within 12 months, pending availability. If Alex is not available, you can use your booking fee for hair and/or makeup for another event, a hair and/or makeup lesson within 12 months.
If there are no government restrictions in place for your date yet but you choose to reschedule your wedding date “just in case” then you can either move your wedding day to a Monday-Thursday within 12 months, or you will forfeit your booking fee and will need to make a new booking for your new wedding date.
CANCELLATIONS OF TRIAL APPOINTMENTS
You are asked to kindly give a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or change a trial appointment. Cancellations or missed appointments without prior notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50%.
EXTRA PEOPLE WANTING STYLING ON THE DAY
If any additional people require makeup or hair styling on the day, but do not have an appointment, this is not a problem providing there is time. You will be invoiced for additional services provided after the wedding date.
To assist with future hairstyles and makeup looks and for promotional proposes, Alex may take photos prior, during and upon completion of any styles and looks she and her team creates. These photos may be used for public display (website, social media, business cards, etc) If you are uncomfortable with this and wish for your images not to be used, please advise Alex ahead of time.
Alex or any other artist working with her, are not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to notify Alex if you have sensitive skin or have any known allergies. You are more than welcome to bring your own product that you are familiar with and Alex or one of her team members will be happy to use that.
Any tables or chairs that you wish to protect must be covered by a cloth or towel. We are not liable for any damage to furniture or items within AirBnb's, hotels or home.
CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS/COVID EXPOSURE
The client must inform Alex if anyone receiving a service has any respiratory symptoms or has been a close or casual contact of Covid-19. Alex reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who seems unwell or has respiratory symptoms on the day of the wedding.
If the client has any other contagious diseases ie: coldsores this MUST be brought to Alex's attention and Alex will implement the correct procedures so her makeup kit and/or any other clients are not exposed to risk.
In the extremely unlikely event that Alex should be unable to fulfil your booking due to severe illness, injury or personal emergency, Alex will do everything possible to transfer your booking to another reputable and competent artist. If there is no availability, you will be offered a full refund.
